Brian Shaw looks at a real estate project as a puzzle, and he really enjoys seeing all of the pieces fit together.

A principal with Irwin & Saviers Co., Shaw does office leasing, land sales and oversees development projects. The company is a real estate brokerage, development and investment firm with a focus on larger commercial projects in Northwest Arkansas and throughout the state.

“We’re a small company that works on big projects,” said Shaw, 30.

“I like working with people. And I like the dynamics that commercial real estate has to offer. There are a lot of different roles involved to bring a project together. It’s fun to balance those forces and bring everyone to a common goal.”

Shaw, originally from Springdale, graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1992 with a degree in industrial management, then got his MBA from the University of Denver in real estate and construction management in 1996.

His goal is to be the leader in the region for upper end commercial real estate development.

Shaw is involved with the Springdale Chamber, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Northwest Arkansas and the Arkansas Children’s Hospital. He loves to fly fish and spend time with his kids.
