Arkansas-based Moon Distributing will be one of four in the country to carry a new line of whiskeys out of Texas and aimed at the millennial market.

Caliber Company Spirits out of Houston is set to launch a line of flavored whiskeys in the Natural State as well as Texas, South Carolina, and Georgia, according to a company press release.

“The idea was born last year after we saw an opportunity to create something completely different than what we currently produce. We received a lot of requests for honey whiskey and with the explosion of flavored whiskeys, thought this could be a very interesting brand,” says Ryan Baird, Caliber Co. Spirits president.

Caliber will launch with four whiskeys aimed at the millennial market, who, Baird says, are “looking for entry level whiskeys that are less pretentious and easy to drink.”

“This demographic wants to experiment with whiskey without losing some of their favorite vodka flavors,” he added.

The four initial flavors are as follows:
• Classic: Sweeter whiskey with tastes of vanilla bean, honey and oak.
• Honey: Infused with all natural flavors. Notes of honey and maple syrup.
• Apple Cinnamon: Infused with natural Fuji apple flavor and cinnamon.
• Dark Cherry: Infused with natural cherry and chocolate flavors.

Texas and South Carolina sales will go through Republic National Distributing Company, while National Distributing Company will handle Georgia.
