Little Rock-based commercial contractor Kinco Constructors celebrated the 25th anniversary of its Northwest Arkansas office on Aug. 11.

The company was founded in 1973, and established its only other office in 1991 in Springdale. The satellite office was staffed with four employees, and was a reaction to the company’s growing number of projects in the area.

Kinco completed its first job in Northwest Arkansas in 1990 by building the sanctuary for First Baptist Church (now Cross Church) in Springdale.

The company was soon awarded other projects in the area, including the construction of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista and various dormitory renovations on the University of Arkansas campus.

All the work was managed through the Little Rock office, and Doug Wasson, an employee since 1982 and president and CEO since 2001, said company leaders at the time realized a Northwest Arkansas office was a logical step.

Of the four original employees in the Springdale office, Lodi Dixon and Richard Stewart continue to serve as project superintendents.

Since 2002, Marc Dillard has been vice president and general manager of the Springdale office, which now has 18 full-time employees.

Kinco’s Northwest Arkansas office had 2015 revenue of $18.4 million, according to the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s annual list, published May 23. Some of the company’s clients include the University of Arkansas and Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville and Whisinvest Realty in Rogers.
