The Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Startup Junkie Consulting and Community Venture Foundation, announce the winners for its annual Teen Entrepreneur Boot Camp in which 15 high school students from the region spent a week learning about what it means to be an entrepreneur and how to start a business.

“Stick It” took the top prize and is a GPS trackable sticker that can be attached and used for locating valuable items with an online app. The winning group of Kira Allen, Jamal Oliver, Kiya Livingston, Katie Lewis, and A’kira Patrick are from Fayetteville High School. This winning team received $500 in seed money and one year’s free legal advice to try and further their business venture.

The other groups in the competition were Field Shield, a two-in-one sunscreen and insect repellant product for the outdoors. A natural remedies and medicinal product line called Bluesky Apothecary, and a food delivery mobile app called Quick Pick.

Students developed their own unique business ideas and split into four teams to further each idea into a tangible business model during the weeklong camp.
