Thornton named loan manager at Arvest Bank, Springdale

Arvest Bank named Chris Thornton executive vice president and loan manager for its Springdale market.

Thornton has been with Arvest Bank since 1996, starting as a trainee and moving up through the commercial banking department. He most recently was commercial banking manager and senior vice president for Arvest Bank in Fayetteville.

“Chris is an excellent banker and manager who can help lead the Arvest team here in Springdale,” said Kent Williamson, president and CEO for Arvest Bank in Springdale. “He has an excellent track record of loan portfolio management in Fayetteville and is focused on the customers’ financial needs and goals.”

Thornton is a native of Fayetteville and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas. He is also a 2009 graduate of the Walton Institute of Leadership. Thornton is president for the Children’s Safety Center and a committee member for Leadership Fayetteville since 2008.
