Nabholz Tops List of Commercial Contractors

Nabholz Construction Corp. in Rogers topped the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s list of largest commercial contractors in the region with $228.5 million in revenue in 2015. (See list on Page 14).

The list is ranked by 2015 revenue generated by a company’s Northwest Arkansas office.

Among the local projects completed last year by Nabholz, which is headquartered in Conway, were the Scott Family Amazeum in Bentonville and Champions Hall on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville.

Along with Beshears Construction Inc. of Fort Smith, Nabholz is also the general contractor for the Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine, housed in a 102,000-SF building at Chaffee Crossing in Fort Smith. It is nearing completion.

C.R. Crawford Construction of Fayetteville is at No. 2 on the list of largest contractors, but showed the greatest year-over-year revenue growth of the 10 companies who reported revenue from 2015.

C.R. Crawford reported $125 million in revenue last year, up 92.3 percent from 2014 revenue of $65 million. The company was the contractor for several large projects in the area, including the U.S. headquarters for BNSF Logistics, a 30,000-SF facility at 2710 S. 48th St., near the Tyson Recreational Complex and across Interstate 49 from Arvest Ballpark and the future local campuses of Arkansas Children’s Hospital and Northwest Arkansas Community College.

Rounding out the top five on the list of largest commercial contractors are Crossland Construction Co. in Rogers ($119.5 million), Flintco LLC in Springdale ($72.9 million) and Commerce Construction Co. in Springdale ($41 million).
