Stephens Inc. hires senior investment banker to focus on western U.S.

Little Rock-based Stephens Inc. has expanded its investment banking reach with the addition of James Troy.

He will be a senior banker with the investment banking firm and will focus on western U.S. banks. He will be based in San Francisco.

Prior to Stephens, Troy was with Jefferies where he led client coverage and transaction execution on behalf of Western U.S. depositories. Earlier in his career, Mr. Troy worked for Hovde Financial and PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Los Angeles. He is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles.

“Jimmy brings to our team critical awareness of the Western U.S. market and deep experience advising financial institutions that operate throughout this region,” Brad Eichler, executive vice president, and head of Investment Banking, said in a statement. “We’re excited to broaden access to Stephens’ unique approach and perspectives in this part of the country and look forward to Jimmy’s contributions to our group and clients.”
