U.S. Sen. John Boozman’s campaign raised $802,445 in the first quarter of 2016 and ended the reporting period with more than $1.765 million cash on hand, the campaign reported Tuesday.

The first-term Republican faces former U.S. Attorney Conner Eldridge, a Democrat, and Libertarian Frank Gilbert.

In a campaign press release, Boozman said, “Our campaign is supported by individuals from all 75 counties, and for that, I am deeply grateful. The contributions from these Arkansans ensures that our common sense ideas to grow more good-paying jobs; resolve enormous problems with the VA; and destroy ISIS will be heard across the state. I am thankful for the commitment of my fellow Arkansans, and I am honored by the continued, overwhelming statewide support my reelection campaign is receiving.”

Eldridge has challenged Boozman to five town hall-style debates. In a Talk Business interview broadcast Sunday, Boozman said he would participate in one, which will be sponsored by AETN.
