Acme Brick expanding to new location in Springdale

Acme Brick Company in Springdale will relocate to a new 6,256-square-foot showroom and sales facility to be constructed on 5.78 acres in north Springdale. The new site, with easy accessibility to Interstate 49, will include a 14,494-square-foot warehouse, 67,000 square feet of paved storage and 52,000 square feet of compacted gravel storage yard.
The company will hold its groundbreaking on Friday (April 1) at 9 a.m. at the construction site on N. 45th Street, north of the White Oak Station on Wagon Wheel Road.
The new facility will provide space for showroom, sales and inventory storage. Acme Brick Company, headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, was founded in 1891 and is part of Berkshire Hathaway. It is the only brick maker in the state of Arkansas with plants in Fort Smith, Malvern and Jonesboro. The Springdale office’s nine-county service area has tripled in population since opening nearly 40 years ago
The company employs 12 in Springdale. District Sales Manager Greg Spencer expects to expand that by up to five employees over the next two years.
