Melissa Masingill has been hired as chief business development officer by Little Rock-based Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care.

In that position, she will develop the foundation’s strategic alliances and work with public and private organizations, federal and state legislators, regulatory agencies and AFMC customers.

“Melissa brings great relationships with our customers, stakeholders and at the Capitol, and I think she will really help us advance the AFMC mission of improving health care in Arkansas,” Ray Hanley, AFMC’s president and chief executive officer, said in a press release.

Masingill previously served as vice president of public affairs at Delta Dental of Arkansas from 2009-2015, where she managed marketing, communications, government relations, and brand management. She also oversaw philanthropic activity and the Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation.

She has also served as AFMC’s assistant vice president of communications and governmental affairs and was director of communications and public affairs for two Arkansas secretaries of state.
