Hutchinson to ring opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange
Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R) will rink the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange on Monday (Jan. 11).
While in New York City, Hutchinson will visit businesses and site consultants, and participate in media interviews to promote Arkansas’s economic development and nationally recognized computer coding initiative, according to a statement from the governor’s office.
“I am delighted for the opportunity to ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. Arkansas is home to seven Fortune 500 companies, including Walmart – the world’s largest retailer, and Tyson Foods, the world’s second largest food production company, and, as governor, I am constantly looking for ways to share our incredible story with the rest of the world. This visit provides another chance for us to do just that – on the world’s largest stage – while promoting our state’s economic development opportunities, tourism and quality of life,” Hutchinson noted in a statement.
