ArcBest Corp. named to ‘Best Companies for Leaders’ list

Fort Smith-based ArcBest Corp. has been named to Chief Executive magazine’s 2016 Best Companies for Leaders list.
ArcBest is No. 35 on the list, which is based on a study of approximately 1,000 firms globally and is featured in the January/February 2016 issue of Chief Executive magazine.
“This honor reinforces the emphasis we place on leadership development and continued education,” ArcBest President and CEO Judy McReynolds said in a statement. “A successful leadership program is a key to excellence. Our employees, who work hard to better serve our customers every day, are our greatest assets. We want everyone to not just have a job, but a growing career within the ArcBest companies.”
This marks the first time ArcBest has been included on the list.
Since 2005, Chief Executive magazine has compiled annual rankings in partnership with GrowthPlay, a sales and leadership research and consulting firm. Rankings are affected by a company’s reputation among its peers as a source for well-rounded talent. Five criteria were considered, including having a formal leadership process in place and the CEO’s commitment level to leadership-development programs.
The final top 40 ranking is made up of public companies with over $1 billion in revenue.
