Move over Chipotle, there’s a new Tex-Mex restaurant in town.

If you’re in the mood for a good taco, burrito or quesadilla, then Tacos 4 Life is the restaurant for you. The fast-casual chain based in Conway recently opened its third location at 1572 N. College Ave. in Fayetteville.

At Tacos 4 Life, for every item sold, 22 cents is donated to Feed My Starving Children, a Minnesota-based organization that packages food and sends it to underdeveloped countries.

Since opening on Sept. 8, the Fayetteville location has donated 77,193 meals to Honduras, according to signage at the restaurant.

The décor is eclectic. There are booths and individual group tables on one side of the building, and on the other side are long tables extending wall-to-wall that seat around 20-30 people for a more communal feel.

The menu offerings range from chicken, vegetarian, beef and pork options. A kids’ menu and gluten-free options are offered as well.

A single taco is available a la carte for $3.92, or a meal of two tacos and a side of rice is $8.24. One reviewer was skeptical that the meal would be enough food, but he said the tacos were loaded with ingredients, making it a hefty portion.

If you’re still hungry, there is a dip platter with chips and salsa, queso and guacamole for $6.92. Each can also be purchased separately.

The chips were delicately sprinkled in seasoning and when accompanied by the perfectly warmed queso, there was nothing quite like it.

The guacamole was the a great combination of a smooth texture and avocado lumps, along with a prominent onion flavor. The salsa had a generic taste, but still had a great combination of zesty yet spicy flavor.

The chicken tacos are served on puffy shells and covered in pico de gallo, sour cream and lettuce. These tacos left one reviewer’s mouth watering and wanting more.

Another reviewer said he could taste each ingredient in his Chicken Bacon Ranchero taco in every bite.

The food took about five minutes to be prepared, and a table pager buzzed when it was ready.

There is also a drive-thru open for patrons who are in a hurry, or just prefer to take their meal home.

Overall, the food, atmosphere and service were terrific. Servers were prompt inclearing tables and strived to ensure each customer was enjoying the experience.
