The University of Arkansas School of Law was recently recognized a “best value” by the National Jurist and preLaw magazines. The law school ranked No. 7, marking the third consecutive year the school placed in the top 10.

This annual listing is designed to find the law schools where graduates have the best changes for passing the bar and getting a legal job without taking on mounds of debt.

“These rankings reflect consistent progress of the School of Law,” said Stacy Leeds, dean of the school. “Our faculty and staff are committed to excellence, which helps prepare our graduates to succeed professionally … without the burden of excessive student loan debt.”

The magazines conduct the annual study and ranks the schools based on the following weighted criteria:
• Passing the bar 15%
• Employment rate 25%
• Tuition costs 25%
• Cost of living 10%
• Average indebtedness at graduation 15%
