The Limbird Team Splits From RE/MAX Real Estate Results

The highest-producing real estate team in Northwest Arkansas, The Limbird Team, has severed its relationship with RE/MAX Real Estate Results and is now an independent firm operating out of its own space at 5247 W. Metro Park Crossing in Rogers.

Tara Limbird and Nick Limbird were joined in their departure by nine full-time agents and six full-time staffers. Though the Limbirds moved into their 5,000-SF location in July, when their NWA Metro Holdings LLC bought it for $750,000, the break with RE/MAX was not official until Sept. 28.

“It was a great company to work for, but we were bound by too many franchise rules and regulations,” Tara Limbird said. “We felt it made sense not to be under a corporate shadow.”

In 2013, The Limbird Team had a total volume of $44.9 million in residential real estate, and in 2014, that number reached $62.6 million, landing them in the top spot on the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s annual list of top-producing real estate teams. The Limbirds said they are on pace to sell as many as 500 homes across the region this year totaling $100 million.

Based on the 2014 numbers compiled by the Business Journal, the Limbird sales represent 30 percent of the RE/MAX volume.

The Limbird Team dates back to 2010, and has been with RE/MAX that entire time.

“I don’t think there’s any bad blood there,” Tara Limbird said of the split. “We have a mindset of abundance. There’s enough work out there for everyone.”
