The Republican Party of Arkansas will be at least $75,000 richer with help from former Gov. Mike Huckabee and others starting Monday.
Party Chairman Doyle Webb said Huckabee has said he will personally pay the $25,000 fee to run for president at the Arkansas Capitol on Monday (Nov. 2). Heidi, the wife of U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, will pay the fee on her husband’s behalf, while a representative of Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) has confirmed he will pay the filing fee.
Webb said the party has also been contacted by campaigns for Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.
Filing starts Monday, Nov. 2, at noon and continues until noon on Nov. 9.
