ALPFA Chapter Offering Leadership Training for Latino Professionals
The Northwest Arkansas chapter of the Association of Latino Professionals for America has hired Grandslam Performance Associates LLC to create and implement a leadership training program for its members, and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is footing the bill.
The program is based on GPA’s copyrighted PerformanceGPA Methodology, but has been customized for ALPFA.
The participants will be grouped according to their experience, falling within four tracks: students, professionals, executives and organizational leaders.
“We’re very excited about this opportunity for the community and grateful of the sponsorship of Walmart,” said Ricardo Castillo, who is president of the local chapter and also director of the global controller’s office at Walmart.
“These learning and development tracks will serve as a platform for our NWA community to find additional resources, training, knowledge, inspiration and exposure to become better leaders,” he said. “GPA helped us getting our thoughts/ideas into a more intentional training model and we’re excited to implement a program that can fulfill our mission and add value to our members/corporate sponsors impacting the NWA community.”
Walmart is a founding corporate partner of the chapter since 2008, and GPA’s founder and CEO, Adam Arroyos, also founded the local ALPFA chapter.
