There will be new small business classes coming to the City of Little Rock beginning September 21. The Small Business Development Office from the City of Little Rock is joining forces with the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center to offer the Kauffman FastTrac GrowthVenture program.

The classes will take place at the Willie L. Hinton Neighborhood Resource Center at 3805 W. 12th Street.

The classes will will focus on market analysis, cash flow, pricing, and business concepts as taught in the NewVenture Training Course.

“We’ve seen more than 500 residents take the first step in our Entrepreneurial Training Course, with many success stories,” said Chauncey Holloman with the City’s Small Business Development Office. “Now we want to help them — and any other interested small business owner — take the next step to learn from a tried-and-true program, make connections, and get feedback from industry pros as well as other entrepreneurs.”

Benefits for existing entrepreneurs include the analysis of their current business situation helping to identify best opportunities for growth. Previous efforts have resulted in increased sales for at least 60% of program participants.

Various areas for emphasis include:

• Sales strategies
• Budgeting
• Operational systems
• Business plan implementation
• Management team roles
