Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond strikes deal with Wal-Mart

Food Network celebrity Ree Drummond, also known for her popular Pioneer Woman blog, is launching a new line of houseware products at Wal-Mart.

The retailer announced the exclusive deal made with Drummond that will feature tableware, glassware, cookware, bakeware and other products endorsed by Drummond and made by her supplier Gibson Overseas Inc.

The Pioneer Woman collection includes items for every step in the kitchen – prep, cook, serve, dine and drink, the release states. The retailer said the Pioneer Woman collection will launch Sept. 1 on Walmart.com, and will be in Wal-Mart stores beginning Sept. 14.

Shelley Huff, vice president of cook, dine kitchen electronics for Walmart U.S., said the retailer is excited to have this new line in its store for the holidays because it resonates with those planning small family dinners and large gatherings. She said the quality is also there for “serious cooks.”

The Pioneer Woman collection will retail from $1.99 to $99 and include cast iron cookware, durable Dutch ovens as well as pressed glass goblets and other tableware items representative of Drummond’s simplicity, yet decorative style.
