A person wanting to learn how to start a new business as well as looking for ways to finance their new ventures will get an opportunity to learn more this month.

The Arkansas State University Small Business and Technology Development Center will be hosting a “How to Write a Business Plan” and “Show Me the Money: Finding Financing for Your Small Business” July 29 at the Arkansas State University Delta Center for Economic Development.

The business plan event will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., while the financing meeting will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the center on University Loop Circle.

Robert Bahn, a certified business adviser and the lead business consultant at the SBTDC, will instruct both seminars.

On the business plan event, attendees will learn to define a business concept, evaluate competition, determine risks and estimate costs.

Bahn will also explain and illustrate a business plan format.

The fee for the business plan event is $35 for the public, $30 for Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce members and $17.50 for Arkansas State faculty, staff and students.

Seating is limited and pre-registration is required. To register, call (870) 972-3517 or visit here.
