Construction is underway to add 22,000 square feet to Pediatrics Plus’ facility on College Avenue in Conway. Upon completion, Pediatrics Plus will relocate services from its second location on Club Lane to the newly expanded 40,108 square foot facility.

The expansion is expected to create 10 new jobs, bringing Pediatrics Plus’ total employment in Conway to 125.

The business offers a variety of children’s services at several locations throughout Central Arkansas and the River Valley.

Specializing in pediatric diagnostics, therapy, developmental preschool and research, the organization serves children birth to 21 in an outpatient setting and six weeks to six years through the developmental preschool.

Initially housed in a home office, Pediatrics Plus has grown in 13 years from providing home-health therapy services to approximately a dozen families, to an established specialized healthcare provider of both outpatient therapy and preschool services for more than 1,000 children with special needs and developmental delays.

Pediatrics Plus currently has facilities in Conway, Little Rock, North Little Rock and Russellville.

“We’re thrilled to expand our presence in Conway,” Amy Denton, co-owner of Pediatrics Plus, said. “This new and improved facility will allow us to provide even more specialized space and services for the more than 500 families at Pediatrics Plus in Conway.”

The facility, located at 2740 College Avenue, will include a multi-purpose room for parents and staff trainings; a high-sensory therapy gym, low-sensory therapy gym, gross motor therapy gym, and FUNctional play gym; a feeding and swallowing lab; an activities of daily living suite; and a new fully accessible playground with specialized equipment and pliable, rubber surfacing.

Site work began at the College Avenue facility last month. Completion of construction is expected by late 2015 or early 2016.
