Inventors Club Of Northeast Arkansas To Host June Meeting

A regional group of investors will meet Thursday night to discuss issues and hear from a fellow inventor. Jim Melescue, president of The Inventors Club of Northeast Arkansas said Tuesday that the group will meet Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Wild Hog BBQ, located in the Highland Center strip mall at 2810 E Highland Dr. Jonesboro, Arkansas.

The meeting agenda includes:

· 6:00-6:30 p.m. – Fellowship, eating and networking at Wild Hog BBQ
· 6:30-7:15 pm Jim Clester will talk about “How important a Maker Space is to inventors and how working together on a project will make the project better.” Jim is an inventor from Paragould and has over 30 years’ experience in building products.
· 7:15-7:30 p.m. – Fellowship and networking

In other club news, Melescue also announced that Steve Schrantz, a local patent attorney with Schrantz Law Firm, will be vice president of the Club effective July 1, 2015

Schrantz graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2002 with a bachelor of science in Computer Science.

After graduating from Notre Dame, Schrantz served as a Patent Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office in Washington D.C.

In 2006, he graduated with honors from the University Of Arkansas School Of Law. While in law school, Schrantz served as a member of the Arkansas Law Review, a member of the Board of Advocates, Vice President of the Student Bar Association, and Treasurer of Phi Delta Phi. Schrantz is licensed to practice in the state of Arkansas, the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and the District Courts of Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas.

His practice concentrates on commercial and intellectual property litigation, as well as the acquisition of patents, trademarks, copyrights and various related services including contracts, licenses and assignments.

Those interested in joining the club are encouraged to attend the meeting. Dues are not required at their first meeting; however, attendees are responsible for paying for their own meal.
