Benton County Tops State in March Home Sales

Arkansas Realtors saw an increase in the number of homes sold statewide in March as reflected in a report Wednesday from the Arkansas Realtors Association.
The number of homes sold in March increased by more than 15 percent while the average price of those homes sold increased by more than 8 percent.
The average price of the homes sold in the 43-county area surveyed by the ARA increased from $146,493 in March 2014 to $158,959 in March 2015.
Statewide valuations in March increased by over 25 percent from last year.
Benton County had the most home sales in the state in March (436), an 18 percent increase from March 2014, followed by Pulaski County (391) and Washington County (242).
The average price of the homes sold in Benton County in March was $198,725, also tops in the state.
