Wonders of Winter Wildlife (WOWW)
Hobbs State Park – Conservation Area – January 17, 2015

If the onset of “cabin fever” is beginning to set in, the Wonders of Winter Wildlife at Hobbs State Park – Conservation Area will set you free.  Bring the whole family.
Start off with “Birds and Breakfast”.  The Park supplies the rolls and juice while the University of Arkansas catches and tags birds, and then releases them.  Bring your camera to photograph these birds close up.
Local wildlife rehabilitator, Lynn Sciumbato, will give her always popular “Raptor Rescue” program at the Hobbs visitor center using live birds native to northwest Arkansas.  You will love “Igor” the turkey vulture.
Learn why “Form Follows Function” regarding bird skulls, and learn how to recognize frogs by their calls.  Memorable, family-oriented programs, short trail hikes, astronomy program, and an eagle watch cruise complete the activities.
