Northwest Medical Center – Springdale and Northwest Medical Center – Bentonville were recently reaccredited by The Joint Commission for their Total Joint (hip and knee replacement) Programs. Both hospitals were initially accredited by The Joint Commission for their total joint programs in the fall of 2012.

“We are thrilled to receive this reaccreditation from The Joint Commission as it demonstrates our commitment to the highest level of care for our patients,” Sharif Omar, CEO, Northwest Health System said. “The credit goes to the physicians and our staff members who dedicated their time and talents to meeting the rigorous standards of The Joint Commission to make this reaccreditation possible.”

The Joint Commission accreditation process is designed to help hospitals continuously provide safe, high-quality care, treatment and services by identifying opportunities for improvement in their processes. The certification cycle is effective Sept. 30 and the cycle is customarily valid for up to 24 months.
