John Brummett, award-winning political columnist with the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, will join Talk Business & Politics as a contributor to its magazine, television and radio platforms.

Brummett will remain a full-time columnist with the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, while providing content through this exclusive arrangement.

With Talk Business & Politics, Brummett will write long-form feature articles. He will also become a regular interview correspondent for TB&P’s TV and radio products as he sits down with political newsmakers for in-depth interviews.

“I could not be more pleased to bring John Brummett’s writing and interview talents to our Talk Business & Politics audience,” said Editor-in-Chief Roby Brock. “John will provide valuable content by bringing his institutional knowledge, astute observations, and uncanny ability to draw opinions from his interview subjects. His magazine contributions will no doubt add greater depth to our already top-notch political coverage.”

“This is a wonderful opportunity to do a few different things that will supplement and enhance my principal work as a Democrat-Gazette columnist, and I thank the paper for giving me this permission in my new contract,” said Brummett. “I admire the heck out of Roby Brock for what he’s built, for his hard work and uncommonly versatile talent and adaptability to media changes, and I’m happy and proud to do some long-form magazine writing and TV and radio interviewing for him.”
