Tolbert: Paul Ryan Coming To Benton for Asa

Another in a long line of big name Republicans will be in Arkansas in a couple of weeks to raise money and campaign for state candidates.
This time, Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin will be in Benton for a BBQ fundraiser for Asa Hutchinson for Governor. Ryan is the Chairman of the House Budget Committee and was the vice presidential pick for Mitt Romney in his 2012 campaign.
The event will be on Wednesday, September 25 at 6:00 at the Benton Event Center. Tickets are pretty cheap as well at only $50 a person and $5 for children. See the invitation below for more details.
In addition to Ryan, Arkansas has seen visits from former Presidential candidate Mitt Romney, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, and RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. It is obvious that some big name national Republicans have made Arkansas a national priority in 2014.
Which begs the question – when will President Obama, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, or Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid make a visit for Mark Pryor or Mike Ross? Anyone??
