Distinguished University of Arkansas professor, Daniel E. Sutherland, will be giving a lecture at the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum on October 23, 2014 at 6:00 pm on our exhibition, An American in Venice: James McNeill Whistler and His Legacy.
Dr. Sutherland recently published Whistler: A Life for Art’s Sake, the first biography of James McNeill Whistler in twenty years, and appeared on the PBS film documentary about Whistler, James McNeill Whistler and the Case for Beauty.
This lecture is free for RAM Members and $5 for all others. Refreshments will be provided. We hope to see you there!
