Incumbent U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor (D) and his challenger in this year’s election, Arkansas Rep. Tom Cotton (R), will participate in a live, televised debate at the University of Arkansas’ Global Campus in downtown Fayetteville.

The hour-long debate on Oct. 14 will start at 7 p.m. and air on ABC affiliates throughout the state. It is being produced by local ABC affiliate KHBS/KHOG-TV, according to a press release from the television station.

40/29 news anchor Angela Taylor will moderate the debate, which will include a media panel.

“Arkansas voters deserve intelligent, in-depth coverage of politics and elections in our local communities, and we’re proud to bring this important event to our viewers,” Greg Shepperd, 40/29 News director, said in the press release.

According to KHOG, this is the only live, televised debate agreed upon between the candidates to date.
