More good news for Springdale.

Whispers hears Boston-based Dunkin’ Donuts, one of the largest coffee companies in the world, will have an outlet at the newfangled Harps grocery store at the intersection of West Sunset Avenue and Gutensohn Road.

According to our source, Dunkin’ Donuts will have an inside counter as well as a drive-thru on the east side of the store, where customers can order coffee, pastries and sandwiches.

The coffee shop is in addition to the store’s enhanced deli, expanded seating area and its own offering of baked goods.

Whispers is not quite certain how Harps cut a deal with Dunkin’ Donuts, but, as a source said, the two companies “kind of fell into each other’s laps.”

The store, currently closed for renovation, is expected to re-open Sept. 17, and Dunkin’ Donuts will probably open shortly thereafter.
