Ross, Hutchinson to Appear at Fort Smith Chamber Event

Gubernatorial candidates Mike Ross and Asa Hutchinson are headlining the First Friday Breakfast at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith Campus Center on August 1.
Ross, a Democrat, and Hutchinson, a Republican, will both address the gathering and field questions at the event hosted by the Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce.

“We are extremely pleased to have Mike Ross and Asa Hutchinson join us at Frist Friday,” said Tim Allen, the chamber’s president and CEO. “It’s a testament that both candidates recognize the strong business community that exists in Fort Smith.”
According to a compilation of polls listed on the political website RealClearPolitics, Hutchinson is favored to win the election. But according to campaign finance reports filed July 15 with the Arkansas Secretary of State, Ross has raised $4.9 million in contributions compared to $1.3 million by Hutchinson.
