Downtown Jonesboro has received certification to become part of the Main Street Arkansas program.
In the interview, Knight explains how Jonesboro became part of the program, how it will help benefit Jonesboro, and what Jonesboro may look like in the future.
The Main Street Arkansas program was started in 1984 to revitalize downtowns across the state. According to the state program, 1,151 new businesses and 1,066 business expansions and relocations have taken place in downtowns since the program’s inception. A total of $145.6 million in investment has financed more than 3,200 renovations and new construction projects.
