Conrad Reynolds TV Ad Highlights Military Service, Takes Aim At GOP Rivals
Col. Conrad Reynolds, who is vying for the Second District Congressional seat currently held by retiring Cong. Tim Griffin, posted an upcoming TV ad online promoting his military service and contrasting his experience with his two GOP rivals.
Reynolds ad, titled “A Man You Can Trust,” highlights Reynolds service in the U.S. Army. His campaign said it will “air on TV” in the district starting Tuesday, April 8.
“Our campaign is in full swing. I think this commercial will further illustrate that I am the man to trust to be the next Congressman of the second district,” Reynolds said. “With all of the problems in Washington, I think we need a bulldog in Congress, not a French poodle. I’m not a candidate that will have to rely on folksy cuteness to draw attention away from past indiscretions.”
Reynolds’ ad contrasts his military service with Republican rivals French Hill and Rep. Ann Clemmer (R-Benton).
The video opens with the lines: “Who would you trust to lead? A banker? A politician? Or, a man who has honorably served his country for nearly three decades?”
Hill, who released his first TV ad today, has served as CEO for Little Rock-based Delta Trust and Bank. Clemmer is serving her third term in the Arkansas House of Representatives and has taught political science at UALR. The winner of the GOP primary faces Democrat Pat Hays in the November general election.
