Fourth Congressional District GOP candidate Bruce Westerman has launched a cable TV buy in the key Republican primary counties of Garland, Union and Columbia.

Garland, Union and Columbia counties accounted for 34% of the GOP primary vote in 2012. The entire Fourth District includes all or part of 34 counties.

The ad, which is titled “Home,” is a 30-second biography spot introducing Westerman and his conservative credentials to voters.

In the ad, Westerman touts his roots to the expansive Fourth District, his Razorback football connection, and his opposition to President Obama and the federal health care law.

Westerman faces GOP challenger Tommy Moll in the Republican primary. Democrat James Lee Witt is the only declared Democratic candidate. Janis Percefull, who previously said she would run as a Democrat, has announced she will seek to run for the seat as an Independent.
