Dana Mather, events and promotions coordinator for Main Street Rogers Inc., was named Oct. 30 as the organization’s interim director.

The move is effective Nov. 15, upon the exit of outgoing director Kerry Jensen, who announced his resignation in September after leading the organization for five years.

Mark McCoy, chairman of the board, has formed a search committee to hire a permanent director, according to a news release.

MSR is a nonprofit organization that works to preserve and revitalize Rogers’ downtown historic district.

Mather, named to the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 class in 2002, joined the group in December 2011 after 12 years with the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce.

She has been involved with several organizations and currently serves on several boards including the Rogers Public Education Foundation, Northwest Arkansas Emerging Leaders and Northwest Arkansas Tourism Association.
