Urologist to join Cooper Clinic
Dr. Matei Andreoiu, a urologist, has joined Cooper Clinic and will begin seeing patients on Oct. 16.
A native of Canada, Andreoiu earned his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario School of Medicine, Ontario, Canada, and completed his urologic residency at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
He completed a fellowship in urology through Indiana University, which included special robotic training in the da Vinci Surgery System, and a urologic oncology fellowship through Cleveland Clinic Florida.
Prior to joining Cooper Clinic, Andreoiu was in private practice in Fort Myers, Fla. He is relocating to Fort Smith with his wife, Dr. Carey Andreoiu, a urogynecologist, who also will join Cooper Clinic.
Specializing in the urologic needs of men and women, he plans to care for patients at Sparks Regional Medical Center and Mercy Hospital. New patients, including those with Medicare coverage, are now being accepted. Andreoiu’s practice will be located on the 5th floor of the Medical Building at 7001 Rogers Ave. in Fort Smith.
