Dr. James Baker, an internal medicine specialist with Northwest Medical Plaza in Bentonville, was recently inducted as president of the Arkansas Osteopathic Medical Association. His term is for one year.

“It is my honor to serve as president of the AOMA this coming year. We have an exciting year ahead for the osteopathic profession here in Arkansas. My goals are to get more of our physicians to understand the value of our state organization and to increase our membership and involvement. My desire is to make this an organization that is not just focused on our members, but their families as well.”

The Arkansas Osteopathic Medical Association is located in Little Rock and has a membership of approximately 300 physicians.

“We are very excited to have Dr. James Baker become our president. He is an excellent osteopathic physician with an outstanding knowledge of the challenges we face today in healthcare. Patient advocacy is a high priority of his philosophy. His organizational knowledge will complement our AOMA’s role in state and national legislative agendas.  We could not have a better leader at this critical time.” said Dr. James Zini, past president for AOMA & AOA (American Osteopathic Association).
