Fire No Cause for Alarm

Whispers heard there was a small kitchen fire at the Grub’s Bar and Grille off Dickson Street the night of Aug. 31, the first Saturday of the college football season.

Whispers heard no one was injured and that the restaurant was only closed for the night. Still, Grub’s lost plenty of revenue on an evening when Arkansas Razorback fans were celebrating a 34-14 victory over Louisiana. Nearly 70,000 people attended the game, and plenty of those fans surely would have gone to Grubs had it been open.

On the bright side, Grub’s only lost one night of revenue as opposed to losing the entire eatery.
