Cotton ‘Sharing His Plan’ At Aug. 6 Campaign Dinner In Dardanelle
An ad appearing on Page 12 of the latest edition of the Yell County Record may provide the next clue to the political future of Fourth District Cong. Tom Cotton (R).
For months, Cotton has been rumored to be a Republican challenger to incumbent Democrat Sen. Mark Pryor.
The newspaper ad, paid for by Tom Cotton, invites the community of Dardanelle to “please join us for a campaign dinner honoring Congressman Tom Cotton.”
The free barbecue dinner is scheduled for Tuesday, August 6 from 5pm to 7pm at the Dardanelle Community Center.
A request for clarification regarding the nature of the “campaign dinner” – re-election to Congress or a U.S. Senate campaign – was made to Cotton’s political director, John Burris.
“Tom is inviting his hometown and all who have supported him along the way to hear about his fight to represent Arkansas’s values in Washington, D.C. He looks forward to sharing his plan to continue that fight in the coming year,” Burris said.
