Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Arkansas (BBBS) recently received a $10,000 donation from CHEP in support of site-based mentoring programs and two of the annual BBBS fundraising events, Bowl for Kids Sake and The Big Event.

CHEP is a provider of pallet, container and crate pooling services for some of the world’s largest companies.

The BBBS site-based programs take place at Washington Elementary in Fayetteville and Bayyari Elementary in Springdale. These programs match children in mentoring relationships with adult members of the community and require the matches to meet once a week for 1 hour at a time.

This year, eight site-based matches have formed thanks to the generous funding from this corporate supporter.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Arkansas changes the way vulnerable children see the world and interact with it. Based in Fayetteville, the organization provides services to Benton and Washington County, and helps approximately 200 children each year.
