Actress and activist Andie MacDowell will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Northwest Arkansas Business Women’s Conference.

The 15th annual event will be held Sept. 17 at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers. Past keynote speakers have included Erin Brockovich, Gladys Knight, Mia Hamm and Campbell Brown.

MacDowell, who starred in such films as “Four Weddings and a Funeral,” “Groundhog Day” and “Michael,” is a longtime heart health activist. Having lost her mother to a heart attack at an early age, she stresses heart disease awareness and prevention.

Besides the keynote address, the daylong event will feature multiple breakout sessions on various topics and presentation of the ATHENA Woman of the Year Award. Breakfast and lunch are included.

Tickets are $99 for the full day conference if purchased before Sept. 1, and $125 after that date. Tickets for the keynote speech only are $65 before Sept. 1, after which they will cost $75.
