Water is like a magnet, picking up everything in its path. When it rains, water picks up pollutants and takes them into our storm drains which flow untreated to our creeks and streams. By drawing attention to our storm drains we hope to make people more aware of this potential pollution source. The UpStream Art project gives artists the opportunity to express themselves with semi-permanent public art in the form of a small-scale storm drain murals located throughout Northwest Arkansas.
