Forty Under 40: Amy Linimon Mason
She’s got the knack for fundraising, and there’s plenty of proof.
In over a decade of service in the nonprofit sector, Fort Smith native Amy Linimon Mason has pulled in more than $18 million for various causes.
With a mix of energy, expertise and passion, Mason heads up key annual events including the Washington Regional Gala and Eagle Awards, and the Hospice Summer Garden Party.
A Certified Fundraising Executive since 2010, Mason logs more than 60 hours a week in pursuit of her goals. She is driven by those who help her as well as by those she supports.
“I am inspired by the quality and caliber of the people who believe in Washington Regional and the opportunities to serve people in their greatest time of need,” she said.
Mason holds a master’s degree in political science from the University of Kansas and a bachelor’s in English and communication from the University of Arkansas.
A committed advocate for education, Mason teaches a course on basic writing, public speaking and critical thinking one night a week at the University of Phoenix’s ground-based campus in Rogers. She’s been affiliated with the school since 2007.
“That’s always been an extremely important part of my life,” she said of her role as educator.
