Tyson recalls chicken wings product

Tyson Foods Inc. is voluntarily recalling 67,269 pounds of packages labeled "Tyson® Any’tizers® Honey BBQ Boneless Chicken WYNGZ", company officials said Thursday (Oct. 11).

The product is packed in 25.5-ounces bags. The affected product was sold to retail stores nationwide under the Tyson Brand name. 

Approximately 42,200 bags produced on Aug. 8,  were mislabeled and actually contained "Tyson® Any’tizers® Buffalo Style Boneless Chicken WYNGZ". The Buffalo flavored product contains potential allergens egg, milk and soy.

There have been no illnesses associated with this mislabeling and no reports of allergic reactions associated with the consumption of this product. Consumers who may be concerned about an allergic reaction should contact a physician.

The mislabeled product can be identified by a date code of “2202PBF0208” through “2202PBF0223” with a “best by” date of Aug. 7, 2013, and “2212PBF0200” through “2212PBF0223” with a “best by” date of Aug. 8, 2013 printed on the back panel of the package. The establishment number “P13456” will also be printed on the back panel.

Tyson Foods shipped the affected bags of Tyson® Any’tizers® Honey BBQ Boneless Chicken WYNGZ to the following food retailers and distribution centers in 20 states:
