Housing Hubbub Brewing in Fayetteville
The legal wrangling over a city-approved student housing project in Fayetteville is set for trial on Oct. 25 in Washington County Circuit Court.
The dispute revolves around the Project Cleveland championed by Specialized Real Estate Group of Springdale. Some residents of the University Heights neighborhood have taken the City of Fayetteville to court regarding its rezoning approval for the project on the northern edge of the University of Arkansas campus.
The proposed 122-unit development would replace the 60-unit Sunshine Place Apartments and several adjoining rental houses with a LEED-certified project that would house several hundred UA students.
