The Sanford Law Firm has hired Chris Burks as an associate attorney in its Little Rock office.

The Sanford Firm has offices in Little Rock and Russellville and focuses on civil litigation, including labor and employment law and family law. The firm’s clients and work cover a wide variety of areas, including a recent $6.9 million verdict for a corporate client based on fraud and embezzlement.

Burks formerly worked as an attorney and law clerk for U.S. District Court Judge Susan Hickey of El Dorado, and for Judge Rhonda Wood of Conway.

He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Law and Davidson College.

At the Sanford Firm, Burks will be working primarily on labor and employment law and family law.

“Chris brings well-rounded experience to our growing firm and we’re excited for his contributions across many of our general practice areas,” said Josh Sanford, managing member of the firm. “We represent individual and corporate clients in many areas, and our labor and employment law practice centered on the Fair Labor Standards Act cases continues to grow.”
