The Springdale Chamber of Commerce announced its Leadership Class No. 18 for the 2012 – 2013 year. The class of 25 will begin its 10-month program Aug. 24 with orientation and team building.

Leadership Springdale was developed to identify, train and motivate emerging leaders who live or work in the Springdale area. Participants range from small business owners to corporate executives. The program also acquaints participants with the dynamics of leadership and familiarizes the class with the duties of those in leadership positions.

Each month, the class agenda focuses upon a unique aspect of the community including economic development, education, health care, city and state government, quality of life and regional issues.

"This is an exceptional group of young leaders and we are thrilled they have elected to engage in our community in this way," says Perry Webb, Chamber President. "Our goal is to keep these leaders engaged well beyond graduation day in May."
