ROGERS — CNN Money released Money Magazine’s annual list of America’s best small cities today ranking Rogers No. 67 in its Top 100.

Described as an “upscale picturesque burb,” CNN Money cited the city’s amenities, affordable housing and prestige of hosting the annual LPGA’s Walmart NW Arkansas Championship as just a few of the factors earning the city a spot on the list. Additionally, the editors noted the community’s commitment to further improving residents’ quality of life by investing in a new sports complex and $13 million aquatic center.

“This recognition reflects decades of effort on the part of both community leaders and residents, who, time and again, have invested their time, energy and effort into making Rogers a better place to raise a family and start a business,” said Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce CEO and President Raymond Burns.

Using statistics from a data services company the magazine crunched the numbers in order to zero in on America's best small cities for families. Financial, housing, education, quality of life, leisure and culture, weather and U.S. Census data were considered. CNN Money's Best Places database of 800-plus U.S. places includes cities with populations 50,000 and up.
