Mitch Chandler, formerly with communications firm Martin-Wilbourn Partners and a former communications director for the AEDC, has been named chief operating officer at the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Chandler replaces Gary Newton who recently left to begin a new education initiative.

“Mitch brings a diverse background in television news, video production, marketing, government service and public relations,” said Jay Chesshir, President and CEO of the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce.  “He will complement our professional staff nicely, and we’re excited he’s joining our Chamber team.”

Chandler has held numerous positions in news, programming, promotions and sales with Little Rock television stations KATV, KLRT, KTHV and KARK, as well as WJXX in Jacksonville, Florida.

“I am grateful for the chance to serve my hometown, region and state, and I can’t think of a better setting to make a positive impact on the community I love,” said Chandler.

Mitch lives in Little Rock with his wife and two daughters.
