Gov. Beebe announces board, commission appointments

Gov. Mike Beebe today (July 13) announced the following judicial appointment:

Sherrel Johnson, El Dorado, to the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board.  Appointment expires May 1, 2018. Replaces Stephen Luelf.

Beebe also announced the following appointments to boards and commissions:
Brenda Allen, Benton, reappointed to the Arkansas Deaf and Hearing Impaired Telecommunications Services. Appointment expires June 1, 2015.

Melanie Baden, Stuttgart, to the Mississippi River Parkway Commission.  Appointment expires June 8, 2017. Replaces Garland Hayes.

Jeff Baxter, Watson, reappointed to the Arkansas Catfish Promotion Board. Appointment expires June 30, 2014.

Kay Casey, Malvern, reappointed to the Criminal Detention Facility Review Committee, Judicial District #7. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2016.

Saima Chauhan, Bentonville, to the State Board of Examiners of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse. Appointment expires Sept. 14, 2015. Replaces Andrea Roaf-Little.

Bob Gram, Maumelle, reappointed to the Elevator Safety Board. Appointment expires July 1, 2016.

Terry Granderson, Little Rock, reappointed to the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Licensing Board. Appointment expires June 30, 2016.

William "Drew" Harrison, Little Rock, to the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Licensing Board. Appointment expires June 30, 2016. Replaces Michael McClellan.

Jana Hayes, Fort Smith, reappointed to the Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Appointment expires June 30, 2015.

Pat Johnson, Pocahontas, to the Mosaic Templars Cultural Advisory Board. Appointment expires Oct. 31, 2015. Replaces Eric Walker.

Susan Meadors, Little Rock, to the State Employment Security Advisory Council.  Appointee serves at the will of the governor. Replaces Dorothy Rogers.

Henrietta Nelson, Pine Bluff, reappointed to the Arkansas Pygmalion Commission on Nontraditional Education. Appointment expires June 30, 2016.

Dr. Jayme Pultro, Alexander, to the Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Appointment expires June 30, 2015. Replaces Lynne Raney Hill.

Gene Remy, Booneville, reappointed to the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Board. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2016.

Joe St. Columbia, Helena-West Helena, reappointed to the Mississippi River Parkway Commission. Appointment expires June 8, 2017.

Patricia Sikes, Danville, to the Criminal Detention Facility Review Committee, Judicial District #15. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2014. Replaces Nancy Barrick.

Max Tackett, Nashville, to the Arkansas Rural Development Commission. Appointment expires Dec. 31, 2015. Replaces David Johnson.

Denise Thomas, Springdale, to the Mosaic Templars Cultural Advisory Board. Appointment expires Oct. 31, 2015. Replaces Lamar Smith.

Dr. Julie Traylor-Logan, West Memphis, reappointed to the Arkansas State Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Appointment expires June 9, 2017.

Terry Yamauchi, M.D., Little Rock, reappointed to the State Board of Health. Appointment expires Dec. 31, 2015.
